About Billing Boats

Billing Boats is a Danish maker of model boat kits, designed and made in Viborg by Billing Boats Denmark ApS. Its founder, Ejnar Billing, began making kits in the early 1950s, and the Billing Boats name dates from 1958. Billing introduced plank-on-frame construction for kits, added ABS hulls for radio-controlled sailing in the 1960s, and laser cutting in 1989–90. Its range covers Viking ships, frigates, men-of-war and clippers, historic ships such as the Mayflower and HMS Bounty, and many other boats old and new, alongside tools, fittings and accessories. Its kits have been sold in the USA since 1965. Its main site is billingboats.com; billingboatsusa.com is its US store.
