About Dusek

Dusek Ship Kits is a family-owned wooden ship model kit manufacturer based in Vsetín, Czech Republic. The company was founded in 2007 by Ing. Daniel Dušek, initially producing a single kit, a Greek Bireme, and has since grown to offer more than 20 different kits; in 2014 it moved production into a larger facility in the Vsetín industrial estate. In 2016 Dusek acquired the rights to manufacture all Mamoli kits, expanding its catalog with that historic Italian brand's ship designs. Dusek kits are known for laser-cut wooden parts, cast metal and wood fittings, rigging cord, and detailed illustrated instructions and plans, and the company is regarded for historical accuracy and high build quality. Their product range spans small boats and longboats up to large galleons and frigates, and they also produce a few architectural models, including a medieval Swedish church and a Norse stave church, alongside their ship kit lineup.
